The Hurt Locker US Exclusive Best Buy Blu-ray Steelbook

A listing has appeared on the Best Buy (US) website for “The Hurt Locker”. It may not sound like much, but looking at the picture on the screen it appears to be a steelbook. The description “Hurt Locker Exclusive Blu-ray Packaging With Mini Book – Blu-ray Disc” doesn’t really tell us if it’s in fact a steelbook. The film releases on the 12th, currently the pre-order is available for $29.99 online and is expected to go down to $24.99 for the release day. Check the picture below and see for yourself!

We now have word that Best Buy has once again released a “Blu-ray” steelbook in DVD size. Sure it won’t matter to some people and regardless of the size they will pick it up, but to collector’s this is a huge deal. So now you know. This is the second time that Best Buy releases a Blu-ray steelbook in DVD size, what was the first? Michael Jackson’s This Is It.
